The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical objects that contain embedded technology to communicate and sense or interact with their internal states or the external environment. According to Harbor research the business value will reach 1 Trillion $. The need to understand and develop applications for this kind of business is highly important and required.

Job Profiles

IoT Application Developer

An IoT Application Developer is a programmer who develops and creates end user IoT applications on top of AEP (Application Enablement Platform) and sometimes on top of the IoT Edge Gateway.

IoT Systems Integration Engineer

IoT Systems Integration Engineers are responsible for the assessment, design, recording, and configuration of integration (middleware) components, allowing new web portals and mobile applications to reuse functionality provided by back-end data systems. The engineer carrying out integration has to know different IoT system constituents that cover the whole IoT value chain. This means devices (e.g. sensors and actuators), wireless networking technologies (LoRa, SigFox, ZigBee, etc.).

    Open Source Department started with its first track (Open Source Applications Development) in 2009 , then followed by (Telecom Applications Development) track in 2011. Two new tracks were introduced in 2015 ( Big Data System Engineering track and Cloud Platform Development). IoT Applications Developments track was established 2016.
