Track Purpose

Data Science track uses theory and hands on experience to build a strong profile for calibers willing to join the data analytics field. Joining this track, graduates will learn fundamentals of statistics, modeling, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, visualization & storytelling. Also they will use different tools to apply all these concepts such as Python R and Sas Miner. Finally they will go through a real project life cycle with one of our industry partners by the end of their study.

Data Scientist

A Data Scientist is responsible for building predictive and descriptive analytics models and data analysis services to be used to mine an organization’s data. Occupants of this role also mine other unstructured data for knowledge and information to enhance the business processes. In addition, Data Scientists integrate and prepare large, varied datasets, architect specialized databases, and computing environments, then communicate results.

Big Data Engineer

Big Data Engineers develop, maintain, test and evaluate big data solutions in organizations. They build a robust, fault-tolerant data pipeline that cleans, transforms, and aggregates unorganized and messy data into databases or data sources. A big data engineer who builds large-scale data processing systems, is an expert in data warehousing solutions and should be able to work with the latest (NoSQL) database technologies. These professionals have knowledge of data analysis, end-user requirements analysis, and business requirements analysis to develop a clear understanding of the business needs and to incorporate these needs into technical solutions. They have a solid understanding of physical database design principles and the system development lifecycle.

Big Data Developer

A Big Data Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, validating and maintaining Big Data analytics solutions on Hadoop-based platforms using different open source tools.

    This track was established in 2007 and previously known "Data Warehousing/ Business Analytics". The track has 170 graduates working in different industry partners such as EMC2, Teradata, Vodafone, IBM, Oracle, Etisalat, ITWorx, CIB, Orange...etc.

    This track has been partnering with key players in the industry for 8 years such as Vodafone, Children’s Cancer Hospital Egypt 57357, Etisalat & EFG Hermes. We have fulfilled 11 projects throughout our journey.
