Track Purpose

Data Management track is designed to qualify special interns in the area of data management which is specially concerned with extraction of knowledge from large volumes of data that are structured or unstructured. The main areas of study are focused on data warehousing, data management, business intelligence, big data technologies & visualization. Graduates will go through a real project life cycle with one of our industry partners by the end of their study.

This track is managed by ERP & Data Science Department

Job Profiles

Data Warehouse Architect / Modeler

A Data Warehouse Modeler is responsible for developing, managing, and updating data models, including the physical and logical models of data warehouses, data marts, staging areas, and operational data stores.

Data Integration Specialist

A Data Integration Specialist works as a member of the data warehouse team to design/ build/ maintain integration solutions based on integration needs from business users.

Business Intelligence Analyst / Developer

A Business Intelligence Analyst / Developer is responsible for building reports and dashboards to help inform decision-making by converting data into information and facilitating insightful solutions to complex problems.

Big Data Engineer

Big Data Engineers develop, maintain, test and evaluate big data solutions in organizations. They build a robust, fault-tolerant data pipeline that cleans, transforms, and aggregates unorganized and messy data into databases or data sources. A big data engineer who builds large-scale data processing systems, is an expert in data warehousing solutions and should be able to work with the latest (NoSQL) database technologies. These professionals have knowledge of data analysis, end-user requirements analysis, and business requirements analysis to develop a clear understanding of the business needs and to incorporate these needs into technical solutions. They have a solid understanding of physical database design principles and the system development lifecycle.

Big Data Developer

A Big Data Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, validating and maintaining Big Data analytics solutions on Hadoop-based platforms using different open source tools.

    Establishment

    This track was established in 2007 and previously known "Data Warehousing/ Business Analytics". The track has 170 graduates working in different industry partners such as EMC2, Teradata, Vodafone, IBM, Oracle, Etisalat, ITWorx, CIB, Orange...etc.

  • 2019

    Industry Partnerships

    This track has been partnering with key players in the industry for 8 years such as Vodafone, Children’s Cancer Hospital Egypt 57357, Etisalat & EFG Hermes. We have fulfilled 11 projects throughout our journey.
